OK expanded from another ? do woman really like flowers as a gift?
I don't want roses--I want a rose bush. To me, flowers just die. If you have the bush they bloom over and over again and the thought of the man who gave it to me is always there. I have a Small rose garden.
Reply:I like flowers because they are beautiful, alive and brighten up the room. But my husband usually gets me games, dvd's and music that i really wnat.
Reply:Yes flowers are romantic and I love them. My boyfriend never gets me them, I buy them for myself. Perfume is nice. but an everyday gift is flowers for sure.
Reply:A potted plant seems to be the way to go! a Venus fly trap it is :-D
Reply:I really love flowers as a gift. They melt my butterfly heart.
Reply:THINK ABOUT IT.DO YOU WANT THE CHERRY OR THE BOX IT CAME IN...
Reply:Man, I feel for you guys. I really do. I would have no idea what to get as a gift, either. That's why I give my husband a break from all that crap. If I want something really bad, I will ask for it. I know, it's not romantic, but it works for us.

I love practical gifts that actually have a function and don't clutter, but I'm a weirdo in this respect. My husband once got me a really nice Miele vacuum cleaner and it's one of the best gifts ever. Another time I got a new video card.

However, I would not recommend getting a practical gift for women as a general rule. I think really fancy chocolate is a safe choice. Not "Sees" brand, though! It has to be at least Godiva.
Reply:i hate flowers as a gift. they die within 2 weeks . i rather have potted plants .

if you want to make ME happy ? you just buy me a nice ball python morph, or give me a day of from kids and work.
Reply:well to be quite honest with you i don't like flowers as a gift because after all my co-workers get all excited, within two days they die. i love to read and i love music so a good novel or a cd from a singer i love along with dinner and some quality time with my guy makes me happy.
Reply:I appreciate flowers as a gift.
Reply:Flowers (any gift) is really only going to do you good if:

1.) She wasn't expecting a gift (Otherwise it is predictable, boring, not attractive)

AND

2.) You have been sleeping with her for at least 6 months (otherwise it is either a bribe or a reward, neither is attractive)

As choice of gifts go, flowers is good, as long as it meets the above criteria. Best to be presented to her by some third-party delivery guy, but in front of her co-workers or other peers.
Reply:I do love flowers. It is the thought that counts with me that counts the most though. My idea of a good gift is..." Hey honey, I am grilling steak tonight!" or " Sweetie I will put the kids to bed, you go take a long bubble bath!" I am not hard to please :)
Reply:No, I'm not into flowers or gifts. I'd rather him save his money. I prefer little thoughtful gestures. Like my ex got me one of those one-dollar little cases to you put my daily vitamins in and put in my purse, in case I forgot to take them before leaving for work. Or one time he changed the light bulb in the kitchen without me having to ask. Another time, I had been working long hours for weeks and was totally stressed out, so he did my laundry, folded my clothes and cleaned my house while I was at work. I was so happy to come to a clean and nice house.

None of those considerate gestures could have been replaced any purses, shoes or flowers.
Reply:I am not very fond of cut flowers, though not as opposed to them as my mother was (she became quite furious if anyone gave her flowers). My husband usually gets me nice bath things, which I am very addicted to, or other things that he knows I like. Like from some of his trips to America he has bought me some lovely Native American jewellery, and from Memphis he got me a really nice Elvis T-shirt.
Reply:Sure, as long as there are no roses in there. I like to dry them in a sand bath and use them for decorative arrangments. The arrangment in my den is actually last years valentines day flowers.
Reply:Yes,I love flowers,especially roses.
Reply:Some girls do. The way I see it, flowers are just a default gift requiring very little insight into the girl herself.
Reply:chocolate, flowers, ROSES!, dog or cat,
