What present should I get for my counselor?

She is a student finishing her PH.D, I find her advice helpful.





I was thinking either flowers or a target gift card.





I know flowers seem like a weird gift but I feel like a lot of women like them but just don't get them enough but then again, our relationship is professional.

What present should I get for my counselor?
I would give her something that would last. Maybe a small figurine or something that relates to her Ph.D or something that is between you and her.

Never heard of a woman giving flowers to another that wasn't for a funeral or wedding. But why not?
