My mother in law has allergies, but my husband wants to get her some flowers for Mothers Day. Are there any flowers that she may be able to tolerate, or should we go a different route for a gift?

Katie: Is she allergic to flowers? Just because she is allergic to ragweed doesn't mean she is allergic to roses. Allergy to dust mites doesn't make you allergic to carnations.
Does your hubby know if his Mom is allergic to flowers? If he knows that she is not....then go for it...I'm a Mom and I love to get flowers. If she is allergic to flowers but likes plants, give her an herb garden. Plant several herbs in a pot and she can enjoy looking at them, enjoy the fragrance from their leaves, and cook with them. Just a suggestion
