I've already hung the flowers to dry them, and I am now looking for a solution to preserving them so the petals will not crack or fall off were I to put them in a vase or gift them.
What's the best way to preserve already dead/dried, unpressed flowers?
Too late. Just try to avoid jostling them too much.
