Flowers or small gift for a second date?

I am going on a 2nd date and I really want the girl to know I'm interested in her. I mean I have told her but I'm hoping to show her. I was thinking about either giving her some flowers or some small small gift of her favorite sports team. I dont want to rush anything and do these things to early, what shuld I do?

Reply:As long as it isn't an overwhelming gift....like an extravagant one. A simple gift would be very thoughtful.
