Who in the wedding party are you buying gifts for?
You have to buy something special for the mother, I bought a jewlery box from things remembered and put a locket inside with a picture of my husband and I in it
Reply:For my pageboys I have bought cufflinks that say pageboy, ones that say groom for fiance, and ones that say best man for father of the groom (as he is best man) for the bridesmaids I got trinket boxes that say to a special bridesmaid, we have also bought presents for fiances grandad, his aunty, his mum and his dad (again) as they have all helped with the wedding. We got whiskey tumblers engraved with our names, a picture of wedding bells and the date of our wedding. We got 6, all in individual boxes, for £40 inc. postage. We will present these at the reception, and give a little speech to say thankyou.
Reply:I'm getting married in august for the bridesmaids maid i bought them jewellery set that the can wear on the day and also the can use them after the wedding.

for the grooms party we bought them cuff-links so they can use them on the day and after the wedding

for the mother of the bride and groom i got them a gift voucher for a weekend at the spa at different times as they don't get on LOL,

and for the father of the bride and groom i bought them scotch gift set as that's what they like.

for the laddies favour's i decided to put together a bag full of smellies like bubble bath, soap, candles, body wash and bath bombs. i hope this helps you and good luck with your wedding
Reply:I got gifts for my wedding party as you mentioned. I also got:

Our parents got BIG gifts, as they had all given SO much in order to make the wedding happen.

Our readers got little gifts, just a token of our appreciation.

My cousin played the organ as our wedding gift. I got him a small gift as well. (Chocolate, as a thank you)

My aunt was the "wedding planner" that the church required. This was a TOTALLY messed up situation, but anyway...we got her a box of chocolates as well.

We also got our grandparents a small frame and put a picture in it.

FYI: My "small gifts" were gourmet chocolate from Godiva. They were having a sale, and we got six boxes of chocolates and four "wedding cake" chocolates for $40 total. (Generally, the "cakes" alone are $20 for four!) I think we spent about $900 - $1000 for all the gifts combined, except the parents. (Ten attendants, two flower girls plus all the chocolates and frames)

We bought jewelry cases and necklace/earing sets for the girls. The boxes were all engraved with a "(Name)Thanks so much. Love, (Bride) and (Groom) (date)" For the guys we got them pocket watches, again engraved with "Thanks (Groom) and (Bride)" with their initials on the other side. For the flower girls we bought frames, engraved with their name and our names, a wedding picture to be added. We also bought them a bunch of fun kid stuff (what 2 or 5 year old wants a frame, really?).
Reply:I'm buying for the attendants only. We are not having flower girls or ringbearers.

We are ordering corsages for our Moms and boutenierres for the Dads, not giving them gifts. They will all get special photos (paid for by us) AFTER the wedding, but thats the extent of it. If they were contributing to or paying for the wedding, I think a Thank You gift might be in order - but they aren't doing that in our case.
Reply:we are getting gifts for all of the wedding party %26amp; both of our parents.

The guys are all getting mugs w/ their names on them. (the groomsmen and the dad's) and my girls are going to get "goodie" bags with lotions and random other things in them. I have no idea what I am getting the mothers yet, but I do know we are getting them something.
Reply:I will be getting something for my mum as she has helped me out heaps with the wedding. I think if they played a part in the wedding, whether it be planning, financial or just opinions when asked for them then get them a gift. If they did nothing then dont get them one.

It doesn't have to be anything big...

I am only buying for wedding party and parents.
Reply:we are buying both mothers a boquet of flowers and my mother i am buying a little extra as she made all the invatations and has done lots of work towards the wedding!!

Reply:we bought picture frames for our parents from www.jessicaswedding.com. they came with an engraved plate with our wedding date and names on them and where really pretty glass with mother of pearl flowers. the best part is they were cheap (only $25 each). You can't go wrong with a picture present for your parents :D
Reply:We got gifts for all of the parents, the wedding party, ushers, and reader. Also gave a monetary gift to the soloist.
Reply:It is usual to give flowers to the mothers. You can give your dad something if you wan tbut it isn't usual.
