Would sweetheart be offended to receive Easter candy & Easter gifts on Valentines Day?

I was Valentines shopping today for my sweetheart and noticed all the Valentines candy, cards, teddy bears, flowers, etc were very much overpriced. I looked down the next isle to see chocolate rabbits, baskets with goodies, Easter cards, etc at a much more reasonable price.

Anyway, I bought a chocolate rabbit, a religious Easter card and a nicely wrapped Easter basket with plenty of goodies for my sweetheart.

In conversation with my co-workers this morning, they say this is an insult and awful gifts for my sweetheart. I see nothing wrong with these gifts.

Would sweetheart be offended to receive Easter candy %26amp; Easter gifts on Valentines Day?
Your girlfriend is ugly anyway, so it doesnt matter
Reply:When purchasing that Easter Candy, I hope you saved your reciepts so that you can claim the expense as a donation. Do you really want to give her candy, cards, etc... I bet not therefore giving it to her is a donation not a gift.

Here's a good tip, this is what I do every year, I go to the stores the day after Valentines Day and I stock up on candy and cards, the candy I put in my freezer and the cards I keep vaccum sealed, then next year she'll get them for Valentines day, she'll never know the difference.
Reply:Valentines day is not Easter. Your date is not Jesus. If you want to be a cheapskate and get a discount for someone you love, then she may decide to discount you as well. Very bad idea, and in bad taste. Get the girl/person something nice for God's sake.
Reply:The card at least should have been Valentine themed. Other than that, it depends on the situation. If she knows you're genuinely broke, then she probably will appreciate that you at least did something, and if I were her I'd get a good laugh out of the Valentine bunnies and make it a running personal joke.

If you're just being cheap when you could have made the effort to get Valentine things, that might not go over so well. She would then view it as you thinking she's not worth much.

So, it really, REALLY depends on your situation and your girl. Good luck!
