Reply:It depends on your age. My mom likes things that reflect the child giving it (she has 4 kids). But i find i am the same way with my 9 yr old daughter..


Try to get her something that won't die or spoil... One year I made my mom a personalized plate with a picture of me as a little kid. It still hangs on her wall.. I can't remeber how much exactly it cost but you can do the same thing with a calendar - (make sure the calendar runs from May-08 to May- of next year though) have each month represent a different stage in your life or add in the siblings if you want or any grandkids.. She will love and cherish it i promise. The calnedar idea shouldn't run you much more then about $35-$40 and you would still have some $$ left over to take her out for a nice breakfast at IHOP or some place like that....

This year I am making her a homemade music CD using my computer, and putting songs on there that remind me of her. On the case cover, I'm going to put a photo of the two of us together. I think that she'll love it!
