I was given a purple hyacinths in a pot. the flowers died within 48hrs. can I salvage it and if so how?

I have been in hospital since the gift of the potplant hyacinths was given. Its had minimal sunlight - from a windowsill and watered it for two days - no drainage. the flowers have wiltered. I would like to salvage it. going home tomorrow, so I am able to plant it? Can I save it? Thank you

Hyacinths are bulbs but you'll still have to provide the right conditions for them to bloom again.

hyacinth's are bulbs. they only bloom once a year for about a month.





after that they are done till next year.





put teh bulb about 3 inches underground. it will be back next March.
Reply:They also do better on the north side of your house. You should plant it outside because they grow to be a very beautiful fairly large bush with many blooms.
