They are SunFlowers and it looks like Red SunFlowers (do those exist?) and they are so beautiful and starting to droop. It's only a few of each, it was a gift. Can I save them somehow or plant them? I know nothing!
What do I do with flowers after bringing home?
Cut off about a 1/4 inch of the stem under running water, put fresh water in your vase and about a teaspoon of sugar. The sugar acts as plant food and will keep them looking nice a couple days longer. After that hang them upside down to dry and you can keep them!
Reply:Sounds like they may be Gerber Daisy's. They have a large flower head. Try cutting off a small amount of stem taking any greenery that would be immersed in the water off.
Also try using lukewarm water. Misting them also may help.
