How can I recycle the flowers I got on Valentine's Day?

While I love the red roses my boyfriend got for me on Valentine's days, the gift only lasts so long! How can I recycle them to make something that'll last me longer after they aren't so pretty anymore? I've heard of making them into potpourri, but I'm wondering if there are some other ideas!

How can I recycle the flowers I got on Valentine's Day?
the most ingenious way I found to recycling flowers given on any occasion is by letting them dry out...then, melt wax and paint a thin layer over the flowers, stems and leafs...a little time consuming..but, your flowers last forever
Reply:Dry some completely and put in tiny jars.

Press some and use in an altered book, or picture frame.
Reply:When the flowers begin to dry, remove them from the vase, bundle the stems together with a rubber band, and hang them upside down to totally dry out. I like to use them on my Christmas tree. Last Christmas I even used a dry rose in place of a bow on packages. It was very pretty.
Reply:1. YOU CAN TAKE THEM OUT OF THE VASE AND LET THEM DRY FIRST.

2.YOU CAN IRON THEM IN BETWEEN WAXED PAPER.

3.YOU CAN PUT THEM INBETWEEN BOOK PAGES.
Reply:Try pressing them in a book... be sure to put wax paper on each side of the flower you are pressing so they don't stick to the pages of the book. You will have to leave it in the book for a long time but when it's done it's really pretty and you an then do other stuff with it... like framing it behind glass so it will last forever, or maybe laminate it and use it as a book mark!
Reply:I take the water out of the vase, and then just keep them in there to dry the way that they were given to me....and its beautiful.
