Do most women receive flowers AND another gift for their birthdays from their husbands?

Just wondering what is more common... do women receive flowers only or flowers and another gift from their husbands/boyfriends on their birthdays? Men... what do you normally give?

On our anniversary, her birthday, and Valentine's day, she gets flowers, a card, and a gift.





On Mother's day, she gets a card and flowers.

Reply:NORMALLY, I would take my woman out for a real nice dinner, at that time I have a florist deliver a bouquet of flowers(not roses) as they are way to over used, then I have certificate for her to use at a massage parlor (while I wait) then home were I have dessert waiting for her. (usually something chocolate that I made myself) Then after all is well and done, I draw her a warm bath, with her favorite bath solution(usually from Lush). After she is all dried off and in her favorite (NEW) silk bathrobe, I go down on her for at least 20 min(takes only two minutes for her to experience true pleasure) and than I let her go to sleep.
Reply:i am lucky if my husband remembers a card. i dont need gifts. i love flowers. but i usually get one or the other gift or flowers.
Reply:ha..it would be nice if mine would just "remember" and acknowledge it verbally. i guess i am simple. to get flower and/or a gift-i would probably die, literally!! (then he wouldn't have to worry about my birthday anymore, know would he?) but, i aint dying soon because he will never remember anyways.
Reply:I guess it depends on what kind of relationship you are in. All I got for Valentines day was a rose, and it was the best gift to me.

Reply:I always get flowers or something on my birthday, now on valentines day that's a different story, but men are a little clueless, you have to tell them what you want sometimes. It would be nice to think that they just thought of you and were sensitive like that, but a lot of men just aren't. It doesn't mean that they don't love you, they just don't think that way.
Reply:My birthday is on Valentines Day. I am lucky if I get flowers and another gift. I figure they are 2 days in 1 and should both be celebrated. We have argued this many times. I am lucky if he takes the initiative to think of a gift for me.
Reply:I give gifts, and some sort of nice experience (like a play, going out to eat, short vacation, b-day party).
Reply:i think most of them would receive flowers ONLY. i think men would just pick the easiest gift on the planet.. they're too lazy to think about what their women truly want/need .

It is quite a gift to just have a man remember and do anything particularly special for his woman.





More often than not my male interests have taken me out to dinner for my birthday. Some have given a card or flowers particularly if they are the mushy sort.





If I had to pick the most thoughtful things a man has done, it has been knowing exactly what I would like the most. Often times it isn't a gift. I think it is the thoughtfulness that matters the most.

Reply:I am lucky if my husband even remembers my birthday!! But flowers are nice! Some men are sweet and do things for their wives but then you have the ones who don't remember their own names....lol!!

Reply:I usually get flowers dinner and jewelry for my birthday from my husband.I'm not materialistic and I don't demand anything at all but he treats me very well to celebrate my life.But then again he gets me flowers about every other week too!! I guess this should make up for the times he's "less than perfect"

Reply:I like to give roses. When I proposed, I had put a ring inside a red rose and hid the rose and had my ex wife look for it. It was really cool the way it all fell into place. But it really sucked the way we fell apart!
