Flowers kept inside that last longest this time of the year?

I want to buy some flowers as a gift for a sick lady who must stay in bed. And i would like them to last a long time! I asked a florist. He said any type will, if taken care of. But she won't be able to change water or give it any Plant food!

Lillies are good fhey will last for weeks,
Reply:How about those amaryllis blooming kits, begonia, chrismas cactus, pointsetia, africain violet.
Reply:The plant food could be added at the time of arranging, and of course water changes could be given by visitors or family. Most florists provide flowers that last long nowadays; although some of course last longer than others. Mums are a good example; they seem to last forever. But they are not everyone's flower. Buy something you think will mean something to her; or that is pretty and gives joy when looked at. Use your judgment; that is the best gift as it comes from your heart with her in mind!
Reply:the flowers that last the longest in my house are carnations.

i never add the the plant food and change the water about

once a week.
